The Isle of Wight Bus Museum has accepted a ticket to Ryde, saying goodbye to its current home in Newport.
The future of the museum’s collection of vintage vehicles has been secured following the successful purchase of the Southern Vectis Ryde Bus Depot, which will allow members of the public to explore the collection, purchase items from a new shop and enjoy food and drink in a new cafe that is to be built.
The collection of vintage vehicles will now be able to be fully maintained at the museum, which will include an on-site paint shop.
Local bus operator Southern Vectis will still keep a small fleet of 20 buses at the depot in Park Road.
The move will place take next year.
