Aldi is extending it’s recall of Roosters Southern Fried Poppin’ Chicken and Roosters Breaded Poppin’ Chicken because the products may contain salmonella.
The 210g Roosters Southern Fried Poppin’ Chicken and the 210g Roosters Breaded Poppin’ Chicken may be contaminated with Salmonella, warn the Food Standards Agency.
Symptoms caused by salmonella usually include fever, diarrhea and abdominal cramps.
Aldi is recalling both of these products along with displaying point of sale notices in all stores. The notice will explain to customers why the products are being recalled and will inform them on what to do if they have brought the product.
If you have brought these products from Aldi, you are advised not to consume them and instead, return them to the nearest Aldi store for a full refund.

Suddenly the much maligned USA chicken, which is washed with a weak chlorine solution seems far safer that EU produced chicken.
But those who are brainwashed to hate the great President Trump will never ‘see’ such.
Spot on Geoff, the brainwashing to fool people into thinking filling their land with millions of extra impoverished people, could ever be ‘good’ for them is incredible, especially as crime, overcrowding, shortage of homes, the lowering of wages all point to the harm such policies are doing to not just the UK but all Western lands now.
President Trump is the ONLY Western leader to see, and say such, hence the brainwashed dislike him. But fortunately, the silent majority see through the hate campaign and will hopefully vote him back in once more.
A great chance then for the UK to have a decent trade deal with the USA too
Trump is a child who has cost over 300,000 americans their lives because he wants to be president again. And he is your hero? Wow!
And he owes the Chinese over $400,000,000!
Prey tell, what does China now ‘owe’ to the world for ruining it’s entire economy and the damage it has caused to the lives of many victims and their families? Half a trillion seems cheap.
Not the Chinese people’s fault, but IF their Gov were working on dangerous virus which seems likely, then they are at serious fault
And if you are a cheapskate who doesn’t want to pay a little more for a British chicken that has been reared to the highest of the world’s standards then you get what you deserve.
Many of the Chickens we buy are from the EU, and with dubious methods of keeping, transporting and disease control.
The USA has to have one of the most safest foods in the world, as lawyers sue at the drop of a hat, and to risk the public’s health would be suicide for any food producer not providing safe food, for that reason alone.
See how animals are kept in many EU lands, and whilst British chickens are likely well kept, the price sometimes dictates who can buy such.
We all want safe, well cared for and cheap, but not all able to afford all three.
Cheapskate? Unbelievable! I suppose you can afford to shop at Waitrose or the like? We’re not all loaded. What a narrow minded and insulting comment.
Lend me a fiver for a really nice “world quality” chicken for my sunday roast and I’m with you on that one.
