Brading Haven Yacht Club had 37 entries split over 4 classes in the 4th and final event of the Isle of Wight Youth Championships.
3 races were planned and sailed for each class. The racing was very close in all categories with Noah Evans sailing a consistent regatta in the ILCA 6, coming out top in the end.
In the ILCA 4s, Finn Evans was very impressive with 2,1,1 results thus taking the win in the larger fleet of 12 boats.
The Tera sport fleet also produced some very close racing with the lead changing many times over the 3 races. Samuel Leather was the most consistent, just pipping Jasper Jenkins to take the regatta. Isla Preston sailed a good regatta and won the Tera Pro class.

In the Tera Regatta Coached Fleet, a separate shorter windward leeward course was set to the south of the main regatta and hosted by ‘Goshawk’ – BHYC’s original Committee Launch.
13 young sailors came to the start line in all 3 races, with some good close racing and position-changing encounters at the windward mark and on the downwind legs of the 2 lap course. A commanding performance from start to finish by Harry O’Callaghan gave him 3 exemplary wins 1,1,1, and 1st overall, although pressed very hard downwind in the single lap last race by Fallon Day with a fine 2,3,2, 2nd overall and with a very close 3,5,3, and 3rd overall from Ran Wheeler, just pipping Jack Harrison 4,2,5, 4th overall on countback.
