A 33-year-old man from Southsea, a 29-year-old man and a 50-year-old man, both of no fixed abode, have been arrested after an incident of theft from a hairdressers in Ryde, during which a 54-year-old man was assaulted.
The incident took place on Star Street yesterday evening at just gone 18:00.
Hampshire Constabulary say that 2 electrical items were stolen from the shop and when a man tried to stop them, he was assaulted. His wallet was also stolen after it fell from his pocket.
3 suspects were located on St John’s Hill a short while later. A 50-year-old man, of no fixed abode, and a 33-year-old man, from Southsea, were arrested on suspicion of theft, common assault, and shoplifting. A 29-year-old man, also of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of theft, common assault, and attempted shoplifting.
All 3 remain in custody at Newport Police Station at this time.

Homeless are not all these unfortunate nice people that many on here defend, UNTIL they are housed or doss near them.
Hopefully when they get sent down they will enjoy the fringe benefits of prison.
