An anonymous local businessman has today (Friday) launched a 28 day reward for information which leads to the discovery of missing Damien Nettle’s body.
£10,000 is being offered to anyone who can provide a successful lead to the discovery of Damien, who has been missing since 1996.
To encourage those with information to speak up, a direct email address has been set up so information can be given without going through the Police.
Speaking about the reward being offered, the unknown businessman said:
“What we really want is for one of the people who were there when Damien’s remains were buried, to come forward anonymously and provide the location.
“Once I am convinced the information is genuine, the cadaver dog team will be tasked with searching for the remains.
“If they are discovered and confirmed to be those of Damien, then I will email the details to the person who provided the information.”
Payment will be made by bank transfer or in cash, it is said.
The businessman continued:
“We want first-hand evidence not information from people who heard gossip. I personally have heard three or four scenarios and they can’t all be true.
“Anyone with information about the events of the night Damien disappeared, who is unable to provide a location, will be directed to speak to the police.”
Anyone with information is asked to email [email protected] – emails will be monitored 24hrs a day for the 28 day period only.
