Police have arrested, questioned and released 2 men following a stop and search on a residential street in Newport yesterday (Monday).
During a proactive patrol, officers stopped and searched 2 people on Drill Hall Road. Both were subsequently arrested after officers seized suspected drugs.
Both men, aged 20-years-old and from Newport and Carisbrooke respectively, were arrested on suspicion of possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply.
They have been released from custody at this time but remain under investigation while further enquiries are carried out.

Drugs are a cancer to society. Hope these 2 clowns get a suitable punishment.
Get the message we don’t want your drugs or you dealers in our midst.

It’s the crack on the island people should be worried about. Arrest boys selling weed but leave the pubs on the island to deal crack from. Disgusting. This island is rife.

Why is it nobody is ever happy on here. The police are being proactive and catching known drug dealers, it might only be class b sometimes but it’s a start and a lead to often funding other class of drugs and it’s showing their presents. You moan if they do nothing and moan when they do. Come on people. X
