HH Princess Olga Andreevna Romanov, the great-niece of Tsar Nicolas II, visited East Cowes yesterday (Sunday) to lay flowers at the town’s memorial to the Russian family.
Princess Olga, the president of the Romanov Family Association, was joined by Paul Kulikovsky – the great-great-grandson of Emperor Alexander III – at the Jubilee Recreation Ground memorial off York Avenue. Members of the Grand Duchess Elizabeth Romanov Society were also present, alongside a number of local dignitaries.
It is at the Grand Duchess Elizabeth Romanov memorial that a tree was planted to mark the visit.
The duo also visited Osborne House and nearby Barton Manor.
