Thousands of people enjoyed the 6th annual Isle of Wight Classic Buses, Beer and Walks Weekend, with torrential rain failing to dampen spirits.
Over 110 buses from all over the country descended on the Island on Saturday and Sunday for the popular event, which is organised by Campaign for Real Ale and the Isle of Wight Bus Museum.
Despite the horrendous weather the buses kept on rolling from one watering hole to the next, bringing an important out-of-season boost for pubs and bars across the Isle of Wight. More than 120 different venues were included in this year’s tour.
More than 70 volunteers were responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and the smooth running of the event, alongside all the owners and drivers who give up their time for free as well as paying associated costs such as fuel and ferry.
