Glanvilles Damant Legal Services, Jigsaw Training and Development Services, Wheelers Solicitors and Age Friendly Island, a project funded by The Big Lottery Fund, are working in partnership to deliver the Dying To Know? information day as part of the Celebrating Age Festival in October.
Death and dying are understandably difficult things to talk about. We have all experienced the loss of loved ones and no matter how much time passes we still feel their absence.
However, this means that many of us have unanswered questions about death. What kind of funeral do I want? Burial or cremation? What songs/hymns/music? How much will it all cost? Do I need a Will? Will my family need to talk to a solicitor?
Now in its second year, the Dying to Know? Information Day is an event where you can talk to experienced professionals. Last year visitors said how much they appreciated being able to talk to people in a relaxed and informal environment which made it easier for them to discuss what otherwise could have been quite difficult subjects.
Saturday 12th October 2019 at The Parish Centre, Town Lane, Newport between 10:00-14:00.
This is a free event. Refreshments will be on sale.
At 10:45 Glanville Damant Legal Services will talk on “Wills, Probate and Inheritance Tax” and at 12:45, Wheelers Solicitors will address the same subjects.
