Newport Rowing Club have celebrated the expansion of their fleet at a naming ceremony for 6 boats.
The club have acquired and refurbished 6 river boats so far this year, alongside training sculls and a coastal 4, to give their growing membership a greater choice of boats for both recreational and competitive rowing.
3 of the boats were named in recognition of the contribution of Terry Blunden, Janice Groves, and Chris Mullin, who supported the club over the last 60 years, both on and off the water. 2 further boat names were generously sponsored by John Maclean, of Maclean Construction Ltd.
