45-year-old John Duckworth will appear before Magistrates tomorrow (Tuesday) charged with burglary.
Mr Duckworth, of no fixed adobe, is alleged to have stolen more than £4,000 worth of perfume from Regent Beauty Shop, Shanklin on Friday (8th November).
Police investigating the incident have brought a charge of burglary against Mr Duckworth, who has been remanded in custody to appear before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court tomorrow.
UPDATE WEDNESDAY – John Duckworth appeared before Magistrates yesterday and admitted the burglary. He has been remanded in custody for sentencing on 6th Dec.
Police say that the stolen items are still missing. Officers are encouraging anyone who has been offered perfume/aftershave in suspicious circumstances to call 101, quoting 44190401044.
