Following the collapse of the vital link between Ventnor and Niton back in February, the road has remained officially closed and blocked off whilst decisions are made about the future of Undercliff Drive – a discussion which has torn the Island in two with those supporting the reinstatement of the road against those who say it should be left to nature.
A meeting is being held at Ventnor Botanic Gardens in the Echium Room on Wednesday 20th August between 11:00 and 19:00 for Islanders to have their say on the situation and share any opinions, views and information they may have.
There is no parking or admission fee, however those attending should let the admissions desk know so that a parking permit can be issued.
The meeting comes just days after Ventnor Town Council questioned why Eastbourne Pier had received £2million from the Government, but Undercliff hadn’t received any financial support.
