Isle of Wight-based D.H Price Motors has been recognised as the AA’s Garaging Contractor of the Year 2019 for the South.
The prestigious award recognises the continued great performance and hard work of the 25-strong team over the past 12 months.
D.H Price Motors has been a certified AA contractor for the past 10 years, helping stranded motorists at the roadside and with recovery in the West Wight area. However, back in June of this year, the East Wight contract was unexpectedly awarded to the Lake-based garage. This resulted in an influx of additional work for the independently owned and operated garage.
The added pressure of being the sole emergency breakdown service provider for the AA on the Island didn’t faze the experienced team. 2 commendations for excellence in customer service were awarded in July, to sit alongside another commendation received in April.
As a result of their continued high performance, customer satisfaction and professional ability, D.H Price Motors were last month announced as the AA’s Garaging Contractor of the Year (South) 2019 – an award not thought to have been given to an Isle of Wight garage before.

Established in 1997, D.H Price Motors is one of the largest independent garage and roadside recovery specialists on the Isle of Wight. The firm has been trading from Spithead Business Centre in Lake since 2002 and has expanded to not only MOT vehicle classes 4, 5 and 7 and Class 5 heavy, but to offer a VOSA approved ATF testing facility for MOT’s of HGV, PSV and trailers too.
A formal awards ceremony will be held at Tobacco Dock in London on Saturday (5th October).
