In Isle of Wight Division 1, Shanklin and Whitecroft & Barton both maintained their 100% records at the top of Isle of Wight Division 1 with 5 wins from 5 games on Saturday 27th August.
Champions and current Division 1 leaders Shanklin overcame newly promoted East Cowes Sports at the GKN Sports Ground thanks to a 1st half goal from Kyle Drew in the 20th minute and a 65th minute strike from Nicky Vyse.
ECS are currently winless after 4 games, but the East Cowes side competed well against the Division 1 leaders and will hope to climb the Division 1 table if and when their luck changes.

After the game, Shanklin manager Paul Haward said:
“I’m very happy with the win today in what was a very scrappy game. We had to have a big reshuffle in the back line as we had 4 regular defenders unavailable. Credit to East Cowes Sports, who started the game much better than us, but we scored against the run of play which settled us down a bit.
“I thought 2nd half we were much better and controlled the game well. I’m obviously very happy to have won 5 out 5, but it’s still early days in the season, but yes, it’s a good start for us.”

Northwood St Johns moved up to 4th place with 10 points from 5 games after knocking 6 past bottom-of-the-table Ryde Saints at the Isle of Wight Community Club.
Vectis 1-5 Pan Community
An Ash Gulliver hat trick and further strikes from Ross Lacey and Graeme Bast saw 6th-placed Pan see off Vectis as Cowes Community Club.
