Those looking to cross the Solent with Wightlink on its Fishbourne-Portsmouth route are facing significant disruption today (Tuesday) not only due to a revised timetable, but as a result of a failure with the linkspan at the Fishbourne terminal too.
Passengers booked on the 09:00 crossing from Fishbourne say that they are unable to board the ferry as the linkspan is not operating correctly.
A revised timetable is already being operated on the route today and tomorrow due to technical issues with Victoria of Wight.

Didn’t Seely speak to the ferry operators last year about this kind of stuff, always breaking down? Can stop all the stupid talk about a fixed link. Just give us cheap and reliable ferries. Seely, looking at you! That is unless you’re like all the other MP’s and only interested in feathering your own bed.
I think the stupid one is you, because there will never be cheap or reliable ferries. If there were not deluded people like you, then the iow would have had a fixed link years ago, and there would not be these problems getting on or off!

Nothing would happen because they can’t get on or off… the quicker all the deluded people wake up, the better, because a fixed link is now a necessity!
Time for Bob Seely to send another letter to Wightlink. They must be worried he will take formal action against them. No, wait they are not worried. They are unregulated and answer to their shareholders only. And Bob has his own personal links to them, his cousin is a board member of Red Funnel. Anyway he needs your vote next month so maybe he will send an email too.
