Those living on the Isle of Wight may need to re-tune their Freeview-enabled televisions and set top boxes later this month.
As part of an ongoing project to enable the expansion of mobile broadband services, Freeview channels are moving airwaves region-by-region between now and 2020.
On 16th October, shortly after midnight, engineering work will take place on the Ventnor transmitter. This work will take place overnight until 06:00 and during this time Freeview channels will be unavailable.
Those waking up on the morning of Wednesday 16th October may find they need to re-tune their televisions and Freeview set-top boxes if channels are missing. Most will automatically re-tune.
Some older aerials may need to be replaced to continue receiving all channels. Viewers may be eligible for free in-home support, including aerial work if needed.

Freesat is not freeview.
I know that, you know that but there will be plenty of ‘old uns’ that will be trying to re tune their freesat service….
