Residents living in Wroxall have expressed their concern that their properties are being ‘marked’ by criminals using the unusual method of a coke can.
Those living in the village have noted suspicious behaviour lately whereby somebody places a half-empty can of coke on the doorsteps of properties in the area. Several residents have noted the sudden appearance of the cans, which are then disposed of but soon replaced with another half-empty can.
Just a few days ago one resident witnessed a man walking past the front of their property before stopping, backtracking and placing a can of coke in the corner of the doorstep. The unknown person then walked in the direction they had come from.
Hampshire Constabulary have been informed of the odd goings on, but to date there is no information to suggest the purpose behind the activity.
