As the only team from the Eagles camp to play over the weekend, the young Eagles U11 side kept up their fine form and produced a fantastic performance by beating Fawley 7-0.
The Eagles outplayed the mainland side in every area of the pitch. The Island side started brightly and quickly with Evlynn scoring after 45 seconds and ended up 3-0 at halftime, with further goals from Sophia and another from Evlynn Harvey.
In the 2nd half, the Island side did not take their foot off the gas pedal. The Eagles were soon 4 then 5 up, courtesy of Daisy and Roxy, and finished strongly with the goalfest being completed by Ruby and Roxy.
The players of the match were Paignton and Sophia.
The match between Wight Eagles Ladies and Moneyfields Ladies was postponed. The game between Bedhampton U15s and Wight Eagles U15s was cancelled, as Bedhampton refused to play the Island side because they were 10 mins late travelling to the mainland. An official complaint has been made with the FA.
