There was disappointment for the crews and scullers from Ryde Rowing Club on Saturday (25th June) when the Southsea Regatta – the largest 1-day Regatta in the country – was cancelled without any rowing taking place due to the lacklustre weather forecast.
Fortunately, Southsea Rowing Club, who host the event, made the decision before the event kicked off so their crews and scullers did not have to travel and avoided traveling over.
This cancellation was particularly disappointing to the Ryde Club as they had one of the largest entries of the season to date.
