There was no change at the top of Isle of Wight Division 1 with comfortable victories for both leaders W&B and 2nd placed Shanklin on Saturday (8th October),
Whitecroft & Barton Sports 4-0 Sandown & Lake
A brace by Sam Yelland and further goals by Josh Appell and Liam Harper saw W&B see off 2nd-from-bottom Sandown & Lake at fortress Sandy Lane to stay 3 points clear at the top of Division 1.
Whitecroft & Barton now have a perfect 100% record of 33 points from 11 games. Next Saturday (15th October) W&B take on champions Shanklin at the County Ground in a game that may well decide the destination of the Division 1 title.
West Wight 1-4 Shanklin
Champions Shanklin beat an in-form West Wight side at Camp Road courtesy of strikes from George Carter-Knight, Brad Young, Ji Nash, and Matt Oatley. Gareth Bricknell scored a consolation goal for West Wight. The Seasiders are currently 2nd in Division 1 with a perfect 10 wins from 10 games played.
Cowes Sports Reserves 0-1 Binstead & COB
Binstead consolidated their 3rd place position in Division 1 by beating 4th-placed Cowes Sports Reserves side at Westwood Park thanks to a solitary strike from Shay Dixon. Binstead are now 10 points behind leaders W&B with 23 points from their 10 games – 5 points ahead of Cowes.
Oakfield 1-2 Northwood St Johns
7th-placed Northwood St Johns beat 6th-placed Oakfield at Slade Road courtesy of goals from Bowen-Clarke and Jason Malcolmson.
Ryde Saints 1-3 Pan Community
Pan saw off bottom club Ryde Saints at Smallbrook thanks to goals from Robbie Shepherd, Jack Davies and Ross Lacey. Pan are now 8th in the Division 1 table with 15 points from 11 games, level on points with Oakfield and Northwood St Johns.
Vectis 3-3 ECS
Vectis drew with East Cowes Sports in a game of fluctuating fortunes at Cowes Enterprise College. The Vectis scorers were Louis Newsham, Ben Cutts and Alfie Snow. Aidan Jones (2)and Shane Joyce were on target for ECS.

Leaders Ventnor remained clear of 2nd-placed Niton on goal difference after a 0-4 away win against Newchurch at Watery Lane. Emerson Tattershall scored a hat trick for Ventnor.
Niton are 2nd after overcoming East Cowes Vics Reserves on goal difference thanks to goals from Jack Barsdell and Tom Bruford.
