Waltzing Waters, a visitor attraction which welcomes over 60,000 visitors a year, is to close it’s doors at Westridge in Ryde by the end of 2017.
The musical, water-based attraction is on the hunt for a new home as a result of the Isle of Wight Council refusing to renew the company’s lease at the Westridge Centre. The attraction has been based in Ryde for some 15 years and originally came to the Island in 1994.
It is feared that a new building to host the impressive water jets will not be found in time, meaning the attraction will be forced to move off the Island.
Waltzing Waters is open almost year-round and offers 40 minute shows throughout the day, 7 days a week. However, the doors will close around October time before the lease expires in December.
It is currently unknown what the Isle of Wight Council intends to do with the soon-to-be vacant premises.
