Ventnor_Illuminated_Carnival_Shane_Thornton_23With the 124th running of Ventnor Carnival well underway this week, thousands lined the streets of the seaside town last night (Saturday) for the annual illuminated carnival procession.

Her Majesty’s Coastguard team from Ventnor lead the way, followed by the Island’s carnival queens, some of whom had only just finished Ryde Carnival hours before.

The Island’s Wight Diamond marching band and Ventnor’s very own jazz band also joined in the celebrations, for what was a shorter than usual display.
