3 men arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a pursuit and search in Wroxall last week, which resulted in a Police car being hit, have been released without charge.
As first reported by Island Echo, the National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth was called in on Wednesday night to assist in searching for 3 individuals after they fled from a vehicle. The car – a Mitsubishi – was dumped at the bottom of Middle Barn Lane off Manor Road, but not before crashing with a Police car.
A 25-year-old man, a 19-year-old man and a second 25-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of a class B drug. However, it has now been confirmed that all 3 have been released without charge. The 19-year-old does remain under investigation though.

Without charge?
Isn’t it an offence not to stop for a police car then?
Or was the wrong charge applied?
Wrong charge or correct handshake?
Fled from the Police, helicopter deployed, presumably damage to a police car and no charge ! It’s a joke
Open season on the roads now then? I guess no point i me insuring, mot’ing and taxing my car. Just run and dump if I get pulled. A lot cheaper.
Well said mate!!!! Absolute joke!!! No wonder they keep doing it if they just get slap on wrist and let off!
Good thing we have a Tory government (of 10 years), and have got Brexit “done” so we can be tough on crime.
cage, you are definitely one boring man.
For pointing out the massive hypocrisy people like you support? That might be boring to you, it’s called objectivity to me. Try again.
I did reply to highlight your hypocrisy, but the website won’t publish my comments because they trade in logic and reason, and undoubtedly contradict the moderator’s personal leaning. IPSO complaint it is.
