GALLERY: Thousands of visitors enjoyed the summer sunshine at the weekend as Yarmouth’s Old Gaffers Festival celebrated an incredible 50 years.
The event kicked off on Friday when King Neptune and his attendants arrived on the Gaffer Iscult, which is more than 100 years old, before the festivities got underway with the weather remaining good throughout.
A Continental theme took the town by storm with Dutch, Italian, Moroccan and even Finnish stalls trading in the town centre as well as local craftsman and trades.
Crowds were entertained by BBC 1’s Comic Relief Does Glee Club Winners, Reasonate, alongside the all-male choir Wight Harmong, amongst others throughout the day and night.
Traction engines and classic cars came together alongside funfair style games and bouncy castles for the children.
As the Round the Island Race passed the historic quay, a variety of Gaffers took to the water for a spot of sailing in ideal conditions.
