The Isle of Wight Steam Railway has been awarded a 2017 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the third consecutive year.
It honours tourist related businesses who consistently achieve great visitor reviews and adds to the prestigious Visit England Visitor Attraction Quality Scheme Gold Accolade which has also been retained for a second year.
Peter Vail, general manager said:
“Many of our potential visitors use TripAdvisor and we know that visitor feedback is very important. We are fortunate in that 90% of reviewers rate us either Very Good or Excellent.”
A typical recently posted comment reads:
‘I have visited lots of rail heritage centres over the years – this one wins hands down – super exhibits, well maintained buildings and surroundings – and such friendly staff!’.
Peter went on to say:
“Over recent years we have worked hard to enhance our visitor’s experience, attention to detail is so important. The opening of our £1.2 million Train Story Discovery Centre in 2014 has transformed our Railway as an attraction. It is a delight to receive this recognition from TripAdvisor.”
