WightFibre, the Island’s leading communications provider has announced that after months of negotiation they will be hosting an Official Charity Premier of Star Wars ‘The Last Jedi’ for the Cowes-based youth charity UKSA.
Today’s announcement follows lengthy discussion and negotiation by the WightFibre team which will see almost 300 specially invited VIP guests attend the Charity Premier taking place on Thursday 14th December at Cineworld in Newport.
This year’s planned event follows a series of Star Wars charity events supported by WightFibre, which includes the charity premiere of ‘The Force Awakens’ in 2015 which raised over £3,000 for UKSA, and support for Storm Trooper Ben Allen on his March from Newport to London in 2016 which raised over £6,000 for the Joe Ellis Trust.
Due to the outstanding success and acclaim of the previous charity premiere this year’s event will be bigger and enjoyed by an audience of almost 300 as Cineworld make available their largest screen within the complex for this important charity event. The event will start with a VIP reception, followed by presentations from UKSA and WightFibre and a charity auction conducted by auctioneer Rex Gully of HRD Auction Rooms followed by the screening of ‘The Last Jedi’.
