St Mary’s Hospital welcomed just 1 baby into the world on Christmas Day this year – a baby boy.
As families across the Island were waking up to open presents, staff on the maternity unit in Newport helped deliver Baby Jax at 06:29.
Jax, the son of Jacqueline Tindall and Darren Baker, weighed in at just 4lb 9oz.
Christmas Day 2016 saw no boys born at all, just girls, whilst 2015 saw 2 baby boys born on the big day.
Congratulations Jacqueline and Darren.
