30-year-old Jamie Simpson, who is accused of attacking a young woman with a glass bottle, will remain in custody until a Crown Court appearance in February.
Simpson, of Culver Parade in Sandown, appeared before the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court this morning (Monday) charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. He did not enter any plea.
Police earlier this week issued an earlier for information as to the whereabouts of Mr Simpson. He was arrested yesterday and subsequently charged.
The case has been adjourned to the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 5th February. Jamie Simpson will remain in custody.
