Around 40 eager Islanders queued up at Aldi in Lake to get their hands on a ‘Kevin the Carrot’ earlier this morning (Thursday).
Aldi stores up and down the country have been preparing since Tuesday for an influx of shoppers keen to get their hands on the sought-after soft toy. More than 300,000 carrot-shaped Kevins have been distributed nationwide.
Kevin the Carrot went on sale at 08:00 this morning in what has been dubbed ‘Orange Thursday’. The popularity of the toy has soared since Kevin first appeared on our screens in Aldi’s Christmas television ads in 2016.
Be quick – once they are gone they are gone!
Aldi has stores on the Isle of Wight in Lake and Cowes.
