Sandown Town Council is holding a community engagement event for residents from 19:00 on Monday 20th January 2020, at the Broadway Centre.
The meeting will enable residents to hear updates from local Councillors, help set priorities for the 2020/21 Budget, and help shape the longer-term vision for the Town.
Town Mayor Gary Young said:
“The meeting on the 20th January will provide residents the opportunity to meet our new team at the Broadway Centre, have updates on current issues in the Town, and also shape how funds will be invested in the coming year”.
The Council have provisionally identified resources to improve Public Toilet provision, invest in community projects and events, as well as continue to develop the services provided at and from the Broadway Centre.
Gary concluded:
“We recognise the need to be proactive working with the community we serve, and hopefully the conversation on the 20th January reflects the commitment we have to community engagement within the resources available”.
