Sandown will be celebrating the start of 2020 and the new decade in style this New Years Day.
After the cancellation of the town’s November Celebrations this year due to horrendous weather conditions, Sandown Carnival Association decided that they would like to celebrate the end of their 130th year instead.
The toned-down event will take place on the town’s Esplanade on 1st January, starting at 17:30 with a fire show by Ryde Extreme Performers before the Grand Firework Finale is fired from the pier at 18:00.
Although the event is free, organisers hope that attendees will give generously to collectors on the night to ensure that they can continue to run the firework event for many years to come.
The event is kindly supported by Sandown Town Council and Sandown Pier.
