A popular pub in Ryde is celebrating its 20th birthday on Sunday (24th March) with reduced prices on selected drinks.
S. Fowler & Co. in Union Street will mark the double decade anniversary with celebration cake, decorations and staff dressed in 1990s fancy dress.
The pub, which opened on 24th March 1999, is named after the former Fowlers department store, which once occupied the premises before a major fire ripped through the building. A familiar local landmark for more than a century, the drapery and furnishing house was opened by Samuel Fowler.
The Wetherspoon pub is open on Sunday from 07:00 until midnight.
The all-day promotion will include guest ales at £1.99 a pint, a glass of wine (175ml) at £2.55 and a Sunday Brunch meal deal comprising Steak, egg and chips priced at £9.50, including a choice of alcoholic drink.
Pub manager Sharon Longley, who has managed the pub with husband Neil since 2001, said:
“We hope that many of our regular customers will join us, in marking our 20th birthday, and we thank them all for their continued support.”
