Ryde Rowing Club’s Ladies Coastal Junior Squad were presented with individual medals and the Championship Trophy at the Hants & Dorset Amateur Rowing Association Presentation Dinner in Southampton earlier this month.

The squad’s 10 race win season culminated with them becoming South Coast champions for 2017  – the club’s 42nd Hants & Dorset ARA Championship win.

But the night saw a further win for Ryde Rowing Club – their 43rd – when Novice Ladies Sculler, Courtney Edmonds, received the Ladies Novice Sculls Championship Trophy.

Last Thursday the club held its AGM where the Secretary was able to report on another successful year. At the meeting Pete Allsopp was elected Club President, taking over from the retiring Ian Lennie who was thanked for his major contribution to Ryde Rowing Club over many years.

Graham Reeve was elected Club Captain with Micky Jenner re-elected Vice/Rowing Captain. Carole Hewision was elected Club Secretary and Dave Redstone elected Treasurer.
