The Range in Cowes opened it’s doors for the first time yesterday (Friday), bringing a new variety of indoor and outdoor furniture, arts and crafts, homeware and more to the Island.
The store, which is situated on Place Road near to the junction with Three Gates Road, was officially opened by Gurnard Parish Council chairman and local firefighter, Cllr Sean Harrison MBE.
Visitors were treated to a free craft demos, face painting and a prize giveaway, as well as opening discounts which continue until 30th April.
80 full and part time jobs have been created by the store’s opening, which includes employment in the on-site cafe.
The Range’s owner, Chris Dawson, has said:
“This store has been on the radar a long time so it is great to finally bring The Range to the Island.“We are sure that the new store will be well received and a welcome boost to the local area”.
