Greenmount Primary School in Ryde has had to unexpectedly close today (Thursday).
Staff at the school on Mayfield Road have had to send pupils home due to a lack of heating and hot water.
Texts were sent out to parents at around 11:00. The Isle of Wight Council have now confirmed the closure.
A statement on the school’s website says that the main school is closed until tomorrow (Friday 13th Dec). The Preschool is unaffected and open as usual today.
