The prestigious Isle of Wight Royal County Show returned to Northwood at the weekend as thousands of visitors enjoyed the sunny, warm conditions.
Around 5000 visitors explored the variety of trade stands, information points and attractions on offer including a animal farm allowing children to handle small animals. Award-winning bulls were also on display along side more unique animals like the woolly Alpacas from West Wight Alpacas.
The event, opened by the Island’s High Sheriff Mary Case, has been hailed a success by organisers and it is hoped that the County Show can return to a two-day event for 2014 following the success of the last two years.
The ever-growing farming community came together celebrating country life on the garden Isle and introducing an alternative way of life to those exploring the comprehensive show for the first time.
