British Powerboat Racing Club have announced the dates for the 60th anniversary of powerboat racing from Cowes – with the event to be held over the Bank Holiday Weekend of 29th/30th August 2020.
2020 will once again see the legendary 200 mile Cowes-Torquay-Cowes return to a format with a pit stop over at Haldon Pier, Torquay. This has proven over the years to be very popular with spectators down in Devon and the West Country.
Teams from around the world are expected to line-up across the Royal Yacht Squadron with a big display of modern to historic race boats.
Offshore Classes 1 and 2 will again be supported by a strong contingent of Class 3 and 4 teams who will be racing the popular Cowes-Poole-Cowes race.
Both races are part of the Offshore’s Governing bodies UKOPRA British and World Championships.
