Police have thanked those who have taken the time to get in touch as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged indecent assault on a 20-year-old woman in Newport.
As previously reported by Island Echo, officers have been appealing for information about the identity of a man wanted in connection with an indecent assault on Newport High Street. The victim was inside a shop on the High Street when a man, described as slim and with a shaved head, approached her and touched her inappropriately.
Several people have supplied information to the Police, who continue to progress with their enquiries at this time.
It has now been confirmed that the assault took place at around 14:10 on 11th March.

We can only hope he gets what he deserves in jail and on his release.
I hope they nail the bloke, totally unnecessary shocking all in broad daylight. Please throw the book at this guy and make an example of him.
Two more to deal with now, cycle flashers. The only example likely will be ‘sign the s ex offender register’.
In weak liberal times, that is seen as a punishment. No wonder it gets worse.
