Police are investigating the theft of 2 trailers on the Isle of Wight; 1 during the early hours of this morning (Wednesday) and 1 earlier this month.
At around 02:45 this morning a 4-wheeled plant trailer was stolen from Sydenhams Hire on Nicholson Road, Ryde. CCTV footage from nearby businesses is being collated in the hope of identifying the suspect(s).
Officers are also investigating the theft of an “ERDE” bike trailer that was stolen from a campsite in Adgestone on 10th June. Unknown person/s forced open a shed and stolen the trailer, as well as an amount of alcohol and some leather motorbike clothing.
The trailer can accommodate up to 3 motor bikes and has a spare tyre is mounted on the front.
