Neighbourhood policing teams in Ventnor say they are aware of a number of cats going missing in the town recently.
Officers are investigating the circumstances behind the disappearances and are asking Islanders to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity.
It is said that it is possible a white van may be involved, but this has not been confirmed.
