The Isle of Wight NHS Printing Service, which provides a full design and digital printing service on the Island, has celebrated its recent move to new premises with an official opening.
The printing service, which has been supporting the NHS on the Island for the past 30 years, has moved from their offices on the St Mary’s Hospital site to Unit 3, 42 Dodnor Lane, Newport (opposite the entrance to Laidlaw Rehabilitation Centre).
The service is rare within the NHS and is able to save money by printing in-house and seeking best price and value for money on various products and through the management of a trust wide photocopier contract. Although it is run by the IW NHS Trust it also generates a healthy income to support the provision of patient care and has continued to grow as a successful commercial business, establishing good relationships with local and mainland businesses.
Danny Siegal, Print Unit Manager is looking forward to welcoming existing and new clients to their new accommodation and continuing to provide a first class design and print service for the NHS on the Island.

“We’re excited about the move to new premises and the opportunities that will bring. The location is more convenient and much easier for people to find us. Also moving out of the hospital site has released much needed space for other services.”
The design and print service employs 6 members of staff including a Graphic Designer, Print Operatives and an Apprentice. Since expanding in 2002 to a full design and digital printing unit using the latest software and digital print machinery, the team offer a complete design and print package on an extensive range of services, some of which includes office stationary; flyers; leaflets; t-shirt printing; canvas wall art; calendars; stickers and more.
Eve Richardson, IW NHS Trust Chairman officially opened the Printing Service at a staff event held on Wednesday 21st June.
