Osborne House in East Cowes is to host a brand new horse trials event in 2018, it has been announced.
BEDE Events, in partnership with English Heritage, will bring the event to the Island in July next year following more than 4 years of planning.The event will be at open intermediate level with a focus on a short day of sport.
Corporate guests are expected to be able to travel directly to Osborne by hovercraft, landing on Queen Victoria’s private beach overlooking the Solent.
Sinead Donoghue, English Heritage’s head of corporate partnerships has said:
“This is a really fun, different event for us. We became a charity two years ago and becoming self-supporting is important for us.
“We have 800 events a year on varying scales and harnessing opportunities such as this is crucial to us being able to conserve special sites such as Osborne”.
