The Federation of Nettlestone and Newchurch Primary School secured second place in last night’s (Tuesday’s) J Rock event at the Portsmouth Guildhall with their performance ‘Search for the immortal soul’.
A total of 11 schools from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight participated in the heat, with The Bay CE Primary School being the only other Island school to cross the Solent.
Following on from the success of Nine Acres Primary School on Monday, The Federation secured no less than 13 individual Awards of Excellence for Choreography; Performance Skill; Stage Use; Concept; Drama; Soundtrack; Set Design and Function; Costuming Character; Visual Enhancement; Entertainment; Lighting; Stage Crew and Video Performance.
The Bay CE Primary School were also awarded for their performance with Awards of Excellence in Concept; Drama; Costuming Character; Visual Enhancement; Entertainment and Lighting.
