A Britain’s Got Talent runner-up will perform on the Isle of Wight this Sunday as part of ‘Music for Mind’ – a charity mental health convention and comedy night at Strings Bar & Venue.
Hosted by Island-based events promotions company Diamond Collective, Music for Mind aims to raise awareness about mental health issues across the board. The event is being held at Strings Bar & Venue in Newport on Sunday 17th November 2019.
The event is made up of 2 parts: a free daytime convention running between 14:00-17:00 consisting of music, speakers, stalls and activities all related to mental health, followed by the ticketed comedy show in the evening from 19:00. The show will be headlined by Britain’s Got Talent 2018 runner up Robert White, with support from South Coast musician Ricky Tart and the Island’s own comedian Bobbin Dixon.
Representatives from mental health charities will be present, providing advice and support to those who need it.
Early bird tickets are only £12 and can be purchased now from https://www.seetickets.com/event/diamond-collective-presents-robert-white/strings-barvenue/1425149.
30% of profits made on the day will be donated to 2 charities: Solent Mind and PANS PANDAS UK.
Event coordinator Timothy Bouman said:
“I personally suffer from PANDAS — paediatric acute-onset neuropsychiatric syndrome — so this is very close to my heart.”
