Tapnell Farm celebrated another successful evening at the Beautiful South Awards 2017 last week, scooping 5 awards across a variety of categories.

The prestigious annual tourism awards this year took place at the Grand Hotel in Brighton, and were presented by TV and radio personality Toby Anstis. It featured the leading tourism providers from across the South of England, competing for the coveted Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies in their related fields.

Having won awards in previous years for their on-site accommodation, Tapnell Farm was for the first time also represented in the attractions category, for which Tapnell Farm Park was awarded the Silver, for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year – just missing out on the Gold to Oxford Castle Unlocked.

Tapnell’s accommodation also won big again with Silver awards for Tom’s Eco Lodge (Glamping Business of the Year); for East Afton Farmhouse, Tapnell Manor and Farm Cottages (Self Catering Business of the Year); for Tapnell Farm in general (Sustainable Tourism) and an illustrious award for Customer Service Superstar, which was claimed by Tapnell Farm’s Accommodation Manager, Chloe Baker.

Kimmi Piggott, Tapnell Farm Park’s Operations Manager said:

“It was great to get the award for Small Visitor Attraction of the Year – It’s always nice to be recognised for our achievements, and at the end of our first full year in business as a farm park we (and the rest of the team) are extremely happy with Silver”

Chloe Baker, Tapnell Farm’s Accommodation Manager said:

“We are always excited to be a part of the Beautiful South Awards, and to do so well against such tough competition this year, has been fantastic!”
