A 46-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving after Police were called to an incident yesterday (Tuesday) which left a motorcyclist with a minor injury.
Police were called at around 15:00 following reports of a collision on the Smallbrook Lane roundabout at the junction with Ashey Road.
At the scene, a motorcyclist suffered a minor injury. Island Echo understands that there was no direct contact between the motorcyclist and another vehicle.
A 46-year-old man from Ryde was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the limit.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that the man has been released under investigation.
There were traffic delays in the area whilst the incident was dealt with.
Injured and arrested, he’s not having a good day. Lucky no else had to suffer.
