The sensational open-air festival of jazz featuring the legendary Kenny Ball’s Jazzmen with Keith Ball, the high-energy Jive Aces and the sizzling but beguiling Tipitina takes place at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway this Saturday (22nd June) as Midsummer Jazz returns for its 5th year.
The event is firmly established as the Island’s big summer jazz party – Midsummer Jazz is all about world-class music in a big outdoor party atmosphere! This special evening of superb music features a rich cross-section of musical styles and Jazz traditions, plus a touch of Blues, all staged in the beautiful setting of our natural tree-lined arena, while festival-goers can relax and enjoy a picnic under the stars.
Gates open from 16:00 and guests can bring their own picnic and drinks, or delve into the Station Refreshment Kiosk which will be serving hot and cold food throughout the evening. The Jazz Bar, serving Real Ales from Island breweries plus a selection of wines, cider and lager, will be open all evening.

5.30pm – Tipitina … Evoking New Orleans and few other hot spots along the way, – Enjoy a sizzling collection of Blues-tinged jazz
7.00pm – Kenny Ball’s Jazzmen featuring Keith Ball … A sparkling show of feel-good jazz classics guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
9.15pm – The Jive Aces … Time to party with six outstanding jazz musicians fizzing with energy!
Midsummer Jazz ‘Advance’ Tickets (Available until 5pm on 21st June 2013) are priced at £17. ‘Standard’ Tickets (Available on 22nd June) are £20.
