Students from Medina College missed out on a podium place in the 2017 Rock Challenge Southern Open Final B at the Portsmouth Guildhall last night (Friday).
10 schools from across Hampshire, West Sussex, Hertfordshire, Dorset, Northamptonshire and the Isle of Wight all competed against one another, with Marriotts School from Hertfordshire taking 1st place.
It was a strong effort from the Newport school but not quite strong enough to come out on top. Medina College took home Awards of Excellence for Soundtrack, Set Design and Function, Lighting and Stage Crew.
Tonight (Saturday) both Sandown Bay Academy and Ryde Academy take to the stage in the Premier Final.
