McDonald’s has today (Friday) confirmed a further 115 restaurants will now offer breakfast until 11:00 as they test customers reaction to the extended breakfast hours.
For the last 6 weeks, the Isle of Wight’s 2 restaurants and 5 others in Portsmouth have been trialling the extension which gives customers an extra 30 minutes to get their hands on a McMuffin.
Now, 10% of McDonald’s restaurants in the UK will be offering the extended breakfast and if successful, this could extend across the country later this year.
The news comes as McDonald’s announced its newly revamped Bacon Roll has temporarily SOLD OUT across the UK. Launched on 26th June, the new Bacon Roll has proven so popular with customers that sales have surpassed all expectations and due to this unprecedented demand, it will be temporarily unavailable this weekend. McDonald’s hopes to get the popular product back on sale early next week.
The 115 restaurants added to the breakfast trial this week include a number of service stations, giving holidaymakers the chance to grab a later breakfast on their travels this summer.
Currently across the UK and Ireland breakfast is served until 10:30 and has been for nearly 25 years.
