The big switch-on of the Long Lane Christmas Lights display in Newport will be taking place this coming Saturday (30th November 2019) – and everyone is welcome.
Terry and Sue Ramplin have been lighting up their house at 68 Long Lane for 20 years now, raising thousands of pounds for charity in the process. Since 2014 alone, the couple have handed out a staggering £21,879. This year’s chosen charities are The Wight Brainy Bunch and John’s Club.
The official switch-on of this year’s display will take place at 18:00 on Saturday 30th November 2019 with the usual festive cheer and entertainment.
Terry has been spending most days since October sorting, fixing, arranging and hanging up the lights and will spend each every outside welcoming visitors in the run-up to Christmas. This year is expected to be bigger and better than ever in celebration of 2 decades of the display.
